Vinted issue

Last night I collected my parcel from my neighbour and it was meant to be a pair of pjs and there was entirely something else in the parcel.

I messaged the buyer and they never sent that item they say and I’ve had to report the issue to Vinted, they asked me to send a photo of 2 labels by peeling back the original label. There’s only one label stuck on the bag and if I peel it off I’ll rip it.

I’ve sent them photos and they’ve said they are going to report back to the courier and it could take up to 2 weeks. I’m not getting my money back am I ?

has anyone else been in this situation, what was the outcome ?

update guys*

Contacted the seller that assured me that she sent a refund request, contacted Vinted numerous times and each time they asked for photos, I sent them every time.

Yesterday they asked me again for a clear photo of the tracking number I sent it, had to message again and they said yet again they’ve messaged the courier.

Had a notification to leave feedback for the pjs, which means the seller has had the money paid to them if they’ve asked me for a review.

I don’t have a clue why this has happened because I did everything Vinted asked me, and quite frankly it’s put me off the site.

sorry for the rant but it seemed a lot of run around and chasing for the outcome to be that the seller gets the cash, when the item they were supposed to send wasn’t the item that arrived.

I'm going through this - grateful for the tip about wetting the label because I didn't even think there was one underneath but I was wrong!

Anyone missing a size 14 BLACK ASOS dress and received a green coat by any chance? 😬

This is the third time I'm being asked for the same set of photographs but the label is a new request!

I'll be really pissed off if the seller gets the money and I don't - not their fault either but why can't we both be refunded?

InPost lockers btw

i could have written this post! Mines still taking a month to rumble on. Each time I get asked for yet more photos - Im running out of angles now. Inside, outside, internal, external, with the label, without the label - and each time Im told I have to do so within 48 hours and yet then take a week each time to come back to me. Was yours Evri?

i Never want to use Vinted again.

I know this is an old post but the same happened to me. There was a label underneath but unreadable. I wonder if this is a plot from vinted as they refused to pay. I was incensed so did a charge back with my bank and got the money.

OrangeCorduroy · 11/10/2024 19:07

No this is InPost - we're just going round in circles. They're waiting for me or the seller to crack and accept the wrong item or refund. I've suggested to her that we spilt the refund amount but she's holding out for justice and I don't blame her
So we're in another 48 hour holding pattern...

Mumofoneandone · 11/10/2024 19:20

I've pretty much given up with Vinted due to problems over trying to resolve any issues with a parcel. The worst thing is having to pay to return an item that doesn't match the description!
I just keep pestering Vinted to get refunds sorted - seems to be the only way.
I always pay on a credit card, as I can get the money back that way if there is an issue.

Comeoutside · 11/10/2024 19:31

This happened to me but I was the seller! My buyer was refunded and I ended up without my parcel, paying for a label to have the buyer send me the incorrect parcel ( do not do this if your a seller!) and I didn't get any payment.

I won't sell through Vinted again. It was via InPost as well and instead of raising the claim with them as they should they just told me there was nothing they could do to help me.

OrangeCorduroy · 11/10/2024 20:35

@Comeoutside that's terrible 🤦🏻‍♀️

They are clearly not going to contact InPost are they?
