2days child free in london

We live in London (suburbs) so have done all the obvious things. What would you do if you had a child-free couple of days with your partner? Unhindered by kids we don't mind walking or travelling any distance on public transport. Want to avoid places we would normally go with our primary school aged kids.

We have a couple of London walks books, and like spending time following those - looking at architecture, churches, quirky places etc, stopping for relaxed lunch and coffees en route.

Sounds brilliant, which walks would you recommend?

We did part of this one at the weekend:
”A marvellously mediaeval meander from Chancery Lane to London Bridge”
from a book by Julian McDonnell” Joolz Guides.

Also in the past we have used the Time Out London Walks guides (2 volumes) - you might get them cheap on eBay or amazon.

I like walking round the City area - it’s easy to forget that the oldest part of London is there.

We visited St Bartholomew the Great church at the weekend, which was amazing, just near Smithfield Market.

i also liked one in Vol 2 of the Time Out guide, which went from Archway to Hampstead Heath via Highgate Cemetery

I’d definitely include a restaurant that you’d never get to with children.
