What are your best childhood memories? Mine are cooking madeleines with my mum, gardening with my dad, playing table games all together on Sundays.

Playing rummy (card game) with my gran.
She also had something for me we both would call a "Useful box". A big cardboard box full of toilet roll cardboard, bits of fabric, foil, empty matchboxes, buttons etc.
Armed with pritstick the world was my oyster I was lost for hours creating things.
The rest of my childhood was pretty horrendous but I cherished those times with my gran.

I enjoyed school, Brownies and Guides. Enjoyed cycling and roller booting around the block with the neighbours kids. I’m old enough to have played out, and roamed the neighbourhood, constantly.

Sadly not many. My parents split up when I was 4 and my mother moved back to France taking me with her. She worked all the hours on her legal practice and I never settled there. In fact I hated it. Thankfully, I was able to return to the UK in my early teens and life began for me then. But as for my childhood, I’ve erased the memory a long time ago..
