Being open minded - what does it mean?

On some women's dating profiles they put "being open minded" as one of their interests. What do people mean by that?

Obviously I can ask the ones I match but I'd like to canvas the group sometimes for a range of possibilities as I'm sure it might mean different things to different people.

I might need to broaden my reading on dating related subjects, because this has never come up anywhere. I feel like I'm out of touch in some way not knowing

I'd say it meant open to different opinions, possibly stepping outside your comfort zone, and open to challenging your own thinking and opinions

Really, it's never come up? Ever? You've never heard people being "open minded" in a dating context and you're looking to date women and want the women of MN to go into graphic detail explaining this concept to you with examples?

Really?

You must think we were born yesterday.

Not sure it means that on a dating app.

Stepping outside your comfort zone, open to trying new stuff?
I'd have thought it meant that especially on a dating site

Yeah, I am being serious. I obviously know the historical meaning I learnt growing up, but precise meanings change with time and context. Maybe the meaning is unchanged, but it doesn't hurt to check does it?

What nefarious, evil string pulling, manipulative agenda are you imagining, that prompted you to make such a mildly rude post?

@spookehtooth

It could mean anything. From "I like a bit more than missionary" to "120 days of Sodom."

Ask your partner.

I always thought that was a sexual reference, meaning I'll try things that I haven't tried before.
