Messy play at home - inspiration

What kind of ‘messy play’ do you do for your toddlers at home?

I have a 16 month old and would like some inspiration please, for those long indoor days during the winter!

I’m not overly precious about my kitchen table etc.

Oobleck- mix 1 part water with 1.5 part cornflour (can add more or less, depends on the texture). Great for LO to get a bit messy.

My kids liked 'painting' with hot wheel cars pushed through paint (we put it on a paper plate then just chuck it out once they're finished) then push the car on a big piece of paper.

Cooked spaghetti, coat in a little oil to stop it sticking together, and food colouring. Put it in a big bowl and play!

One of the underbed storage plastic boxes so it's big but shallow. Fill with sand/shredded paper and bury stuff in it, let them move it around from one container to another, measuring cups/plastic jugs.

Baths are great for messy play, you can get the squirty foam soap or bath crayons, make ice cubes with food colouring in and let them melt them, bath their toys/dolls.

DD also really enjoyed washing up. I'd set her up on a stool at the sink with a bowl of buddy water and all her plastic plates/bowls/cutlery and let her wash and dry them. Then just mop up the floor.

Shaving foam is good for messy play. You can swirl paint into it and press paper on top to create marbled 'paintings'

Dried lentils/beans with scoops and jugs.
’Cloud dough’ which you make with cornflour and oil (google for recipes). Also looks like snow so fun to play with toy penguins and polar bears.
Homemade playdough is much better and cheaper than bought.
We had a Tuff tray which was great to get out for messy play.
