Got scammed - any hop getting my money back?

Got scammed for the first time today.
£800 for nonexistent Taylor Swift tickets.
I could cry 😭

I can't imagine how you must feel op. There's a few scammers on my local fb groups trying to sell TS tickets too. The scammers are all over this as they know how desperate people are to get hold of the tickets. You won't be the only one 😔

There was a woman on Radio 4 last week saying she had exactly the same thing. She got the scammer to send the money back because she faked some documents pretending she had got the police involved. She had managed to figure out where they lived because they had shared a screen shot of their online banking (the scammer was trying to say the money hadn’t landed to try and get double) and then could say that the bank fraud action were involved

Some banks are part of a voluntary scheme which refunds customers who get scammed. Even if it was the customer’s sheer stupidity (sorry OP but come on, it’s so obvious)
