To have good friends but drift/ move on from others

I'm in my 40s now and have a good circle of friends who I enjoy spending time with. They've been in my life a long time and I want to keep them there.

There are others I've met over the years through hobbies/activities, that I feel I've nothing in common with any more/ don't enjoy their company for different reasons and would rather invest my time with those friends who mean a lot.

Has anyone else felt like this as you've got older?

Yes! It's OK to move on from friendships.
