Mine too!

www.idrlabs.com/dark-core-personality/test.php i did this one years ago, this one is a bit longer but produces very interesting results. Its about how dark your personality can be including manipulation, machiavellism etc.

My good traits are I'm kind, hardworking, loving and helpful.
My bad ones are I'm scatty, disorganised, untidy and get anxious and overwhelmed easily.

RosesAndHellebores · 04/11/2023 13:33

Calm, forthright, analytical, generous, very hard working

Can be too direct, not always generous of spirit, don't always listen, sharp, procrastination.

Diolchynfawr · 04/11/2023 13:34

I will do that personality quiz when I have more time (it seems v.long) but just to point out - it’s no wonder that it’s accurate when you give it pages of information about yourself. It just repackages it and tells it right back to you!

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 04/11/2023 13:38

Positive: I am even-tempered, hard to offend or upset, and non-confrontational

Negative: I can be a bit lazy. I'm not straight-talking or 'take me as you find me' - I suppose you could call me manipulative in a way, but not for personal gain or advancement. More for ease of social interaction- I adapt too much to who I'm talking to iyswim. It's the flip side of being very non-confrontational, I guess.

Clingfilm · 04/11/2023 13:41

Fair, funny, rational, independent/gets on with it.

Unsympathetic, inarticulate yet mouthy...

midlifemelancholy · 04/11/2023 13:41

Positive I'm kind thoughtful creative and quite funny

Negative I am externally validated a lot of the time, Lazy and very chaotic

Interesting thread because I have recently self diagnosed with adhd and I wonder how much of the above is disorder/character.

Interested in the enneagrams

Skethylita · 04/11/2023 13:42

Stubbornness is both my best and worst character trait.

BatildaB · 04/11/2023 13:43

@theheadband I guessed yours right based off your best and worst traits! 😁 I’m a 7.

@Diolchynfawr yes that’s true! What i’ve actually found it most helpful for is for understanding the ways in which other people are differently motivated, although also useful for clarifying self awareness.

What I do like about the enneagram for self-understanding is that it shows you how your ‘good’ and ‘bad’ character traits can be two sides of the same coin. So i’m upbeat and see the silver linings, and that can be a positive thing, but it’s useful for me to know that i might need to make an effort sometimes to be ok with sadness and uncomfortable things, my own and other people’s, and not to jump straight to the silver linings!

Going by feedback at work: hardworking, positive and helpful, a team player, always willing to go the extra mile

Inside: worrying about what people think, worrying I'm not pulling my weight, worrying I might miss something vital and cock everything up for everyone else. Actually, just worrying!

WithIcePlease · 04/11/2023 13:50

I'm impatient. I control it well and I listen to myself at work and cannot believe how patient I sound!
I don't like hot coffee when out - I just want to drink my coffee and get on, not have to wait for scalding coffee to go cooler. I don't like waitress service coffee shops. I loathe having to hang around waiting for others to faff about. I don't like it when restaurants don't serve drinks quickly when I'm seated - so I usually tell whoever seats us what we want so we don't have to wait.

Im over competitive to the extent that I actually spoil the enjoyment of doing puzzles by myself - I'm working on this

TheNameIsDickDarlington · 04/11/2023 13:52

I just started the test and came to the realisation that my worst trait is probably that I don't know who I am.

Am I good at taking care of people? I don't know. Do I enjoy it? I couldn't say.

I know I'm easily overwhelmed prone to severe depression... recently started the process for an autism diagnosis... I feel like I'm just a bundle of bad stuff and struggles.

Yes, when i read deeper into mine is showed how the positives can be interpreted as negative. Very thought provoking. Should seek some self help tbh 😂

I'm caring,witty and honest
but I'm also a bit judgy and two faced

Serena1977 · 04/11/2023 14:03

I am generous, organised, kind and funny

I am impatient

CeciledeVolangesdeNouveau · 04/11/2023 14:03

@TheNameIsDickDarlington just wanted to respond quickly and say that feeling is more common than you might think, particularly with people with MH diagnosed. It’s also an issue with perfectionism because you think if you’re not like that 100% of the time you can’t actually be like that. Everyone’s not themselves from time to time. Hope you get the help you need.

As for me, I’ve been told I’m loyal, affectionate, generous and empathetic. I’m also hypersensitive, immature and fragile, insecure, very anxious.

Some of my good traits are also my bad traits, eg I can sometimes go much too far on the affection, generosity and get taken advantage of or damaged so I end up annoying people.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 04/11/2023 14:06

I'm 13% lighter than that average person apparently.

Longwhiskers · 04/11/2023 14:07

I just asked my DH what he would say for me : ‘best - incredibly committed to finding a way to get things done and supporting those you love and care about. Worst - you’re bloody stubborn.’ yep! 😂

BatildaB · 04/11/2023 14:11

@theheadband but don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater, I don’t think it’s that positives are actually negative, just that knowing your motivations better means you can be more thoughtful about what you do automatically. Being caring and thinking of others is definitely a good trait!

GigiAnnna · 04/11/2023 14:11

I'm caring and like to help people who other people don't really care about. I stick up for people when others can't see it from their perspective, even though it might be different to mine. I'm quite open minded and acceptable of different types of people. The negatives are that I'm impatient, my feelings are very sensitive and I take things to heart

RedCoffeeCup · 04/11/2023 14:12

I'm the opposite of a perfectionist, which can be a positive (I'm laid back and positive) or a negative (lack of attention to detail).

StarDolphins · 04/11/2023 14:13

Good : easy going but good self worth, Fun & funny, unselfish, kind

Bad : stubborn, fiercely independent to the point of not wanting to share finances/decisions with anyone,

Monstermunchx1000 · 04/11/2023 14:27

I don't take tests too seriously and god knows what my results mean. Possibly a perfectionist prick as my down side and my nice quality being dependable?

My own synopsis would be kind versus lazy arse.

What are your best / worst character traits?
CeciledeVolangesdeNouveau · 04/11/2023 14:31

I’m trying the dark personality test and some of the questions are perplexing. Why would you oppose the election of an official when you thought they would benefit your community?
