Buying a gift for a child - can’t remember which charity!

A friend of mine who I see sporadically told me about something they’re doing this year where they get a list of ages of children and they buy presents for them and send to the charity, I usually give to Save The Children and Crisis at Christmas but my DC were really excited about this and now I can’t find it… (have asked the friend and no reply for a few days). I love the idea that my kids are motivated by a charity campaign and want to use their money to buy gifts so really want to do it.

wondered if anyone knew what this was? I have googled but can’t find it.

Is it a local initiative? We have something similar in our big city shopping centre. You get a gift tag with a child's age, gender and stuff they like on it and you attach the tag to the gift you purchase. I presume it doesn't actually go to a specific child but it ensures there's a nice mix of gifts suitable for all ages, genders and interests for the charity to pass out.

It was definitely a specific child but this also sounds great, I’ll keep an eye out in my local shopping centre.
