Civil service interview

Had civil service interview today for AO post. I think I never answered one competency using the STAR technique . So mad at myself 😡. Will I be marked zero for this.

Hmm, why didn’t you practice your STARs over and over before the interview days, so that they became instinctive…civil service can’t make it any clea
er that they’re looking at competencies, and what those competencies are, they spoon feed you all the information you need to go in very well prepared

so, did you not do this prep at all, did you not do enough or did it all go into melt down when you were there?

if you didn’t prepare at all, they’ll know and you’ll get no further. If you didn’t prepare enough, there’s a chance you’re remembering all the the bits that you didn’t do and maybe you’ll scrape through if you blinded the, on all the other stuff. If it all went belly up on your through prep on day, it’ll depend why it went belly up and whether they saw past that 🤷🏼‍♀️

in short, you’re growing to have to wait and see what result is! They don’t take that long form what I remember

they were actually genuine questions…but if you don’t want to respond other than frustrated private messages….
In your OP you haven’t explained why you didn’t use stars, when you realised you should of done🤷🏼‍♀️🤦‍♀️
people can only help you in future…and you can reapply if you didn’t get though this time..but how the heck are we supposed to mind read why you didn’t use STARs?
theres nowt you can do over what’s happened now, anyone responding is merely speculating.

@Glen155 what was the outcome? I've done CS interviews where all my examples were star but then they asked the question differently so it didn't fit. In addition they didn't let me finish
