Advice for meeting people in London

Just spoke to my 25yo DS.
He’s been internet dating for quite some time and hasn’t met anyone serious.

He’s getting very down about it and I’ve told him to concentrate on the positives in his life, of which there are many. He has a great job and has just started renting a flat in London.

I wondered whether anyone knows of any social clubs/societies etc which would broaden his social circle and not be focused purely on dating.

I noticed this thing on instagram called over ground it’s a walking group. The posts were just of lots of young people walking. I thought it looked like a good place to meet people. Most relationships now seem to start online with younger people.

Does he have a group of mates / does he have someone to go out with to bars, pubs, clubs, gigs, parties, theatre, pop up restaurants, etc?

Does he play any sport or like watching sport?

Does he have a job / colleagues to hang with?

Tell him to look on Meetup.com - there are loads of social groups and activities on there.

I would suggest meet-up also but avoid the pub crawl bar hopping type of meets I just find people wanted to party and not really form deep meaningful connections.
