Strange encounter

I had a slightly weird encounter when I went for a quick walk around the block at lunchtime. I was walking in a housing estate a few minutes away from my own road. A car pulled up beside me and the driver asked me if I lived at number 10. I said no and kept walking. I passed number 10 and noticed she'd pulled up as if checking that I wasn't going into that house. I kept walking and she drove on but I noticed she'd pulled up around the corner. It was like was checking I wasn't backtracking and going to that house. Quite odd. What do you reckon it was about?

Benefit fraud or trying to catch a partner out.

Number 10 owe serious money and are avoiding the debt collectors.

As above or Housing Officer checking if the tenancy is sublet (happened with property next door - Officer was waiting outside in her car).

The person in the car definitely didn't look like the debt collector type but I guess I only got a quick glimpse of her.

Yeah could be. Just seemed very weird as I was just walking along a street. I literally could have been going anywhere but she clearly thought I must be going to number 10
