Leaving washing out in the rain

Am I a total slob? Had some washing out on Friday, then it rained so I left it out till Saturday, then it rained again, left it out, repeat for Sunday. Finally brought it in on Monday, still wet, put in washing machine on spin then hung up to dry indoors.

Talking to some friends about it, several said they would have washed it again after it being outside for 3 days. One said she rewashes clothes left out overnight. Is this normal?

I can't understand why you would rewash clothes that have in effect been rinsed with rainwater. Definitely wouldn't rewash if they'd been left out overnight because I forgot to get them in.

Is there some reason that I'm not aware of for rewashing or am I just a slob?

I dontvtend to leave mine out for more than 24 hours. But sometimes the rain washes out the fabric conditioner. Then it gets crispy. I wouldn't think it was dirty.

Depends where you live. Unspoilt countryside with no air pollution - no problem. Urban area - rain is not clean!

It depends if they’ve dried at all at points over those few days, which is likely to a degree unless it has literally rained constantly for 3 days. Then they start to smell foosty and need a rewash imo.

Rain on the clothes wouldn't bother me I don't use fabric conditioner. In an area of heavy industry the rain might be dirty though.

I don't use fabric conditioner. Live in the middle of nowhere. The washing did partially dry a couple of times but didn't smell of anything.
