So I have received an sms from the NHS about patients who have been waiting more than 40 weeks for treatment (i'll add from my phone shortly)

All good - but..... I have no idea what treatment I am waiting for, I phoned my GP and they were a little dismissive, dont think they had heard about it?

Anyone else got this

XXXXX Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

We are contacting all patients that have been waiting longer than 40 weeks to inform them that they can request to move to a different hospital to receive earlier care/treatment. Please note that while it is your right to request to move hospital, it might not be possible to find you an alternative hospital with a shorter waiting time.

If you would like to request to move hospital, please submit your details via www.pidmas.nhs.uk Alternatively, you can contact the NHS Telephone Support Line on 0345 450 6166.

I received one of these but I have been on a waiting list for surgery for over a year, so I know what it's referring to.

The name makes me think of a mnemonic for the order of mathematical operations: Parentheses, Indices, Division & Multiplication, Addition & Subtraction.

When I followed the link it says "Please be aware that by making a request to move your care to another hospital, your entire pathway of care will be moved. This includes all appointments, any required treatment / surgery and any follow up care."
