Safe lights for a halloween costume

Sorry this is slightly leftfield, DC ha halloween disco tomorrow. I want to jazz up the requested ghost costume and wondered if there was any sort of 'safe' lights I could stick to the clothes underneath the sheet. LEDS are safe right, I'm thinking fire risk, sorry for my ignorance!

They don’t get hot, so I’d be fine with that. Child won’t open the batteries and eat them?

@Cheeesus they're 5.5 so I would hope that's safe? What do you think.

I think that sounds fine.

I sewed red lights onto my son's spider t shirt a few years ago.

The spider was a big black fluffy thing I cut out and sewed together and then attached onto his T shirt. I already had some black felt fabric large webs for the spider to sit on. The lights were weaved around the web.

The red lights were a small battery operated set and I concealed the battery compartment inside the body of the spider. I sewed over the thin cable to lightly attach it. He put the T shirt on and I switched on the lights then finished sewing closed the spider body.
