Did anyone used to say that, growing up? Or maybe still do?

With the retort - “A kick and a flick for being so quick!”

It was definitely a thing in our locality, but I had never heard of the ‘White rabbits’ expression until an adult.

Anyway, how is it November already?!!

DP has already inflicted it on me this morning! Very much a thing around here!

My 44 year old DH has just launched himself out of bed to do the pinch punch thing on me.

We do pinch punch first of the month no returns,my sister randomly started doing it about 12 years ago and now the whole family are in on it,works in person and message/chat,I've just had the entire family on the Facebook group,very smug 😉

Yess we do it every month, ds has started joining in now too! The only rule we have is when we get the other they have to already be awake, unfortunately this rules me out of winning right this minute and I'll just have to hope they don't remember by the time I'm home from work 🥴

You have to do it before midday or it's bad luck.

My old dad used to say "white rabbits" every 1st.

My kids and I pinch and punch each other. They're quite strong now though so it's less fun.

I'd never heard of it until my dc were at school and they came home saying it.

DH and I do pinch punch 1st of the month and no returns. I also do white rabbit x3 but only in the months that have an R in them ..... no idea why 🤪

We used to say,

Pinch punch, first day of the month

Pinch and a kick for being so quick

Pinch and a burn, no return

Then give a Chinese burn.
