Wisdom tooth pain

I have an impacted wisdom tooth which has been uncomfortable for the last couple of days. Idiot that I am, thought there wasn't any big rush to get it seen to what with it being half-term & busy with the kids.

Oh my god. I'm in agony. I've only been up 3 hours but I've had ibuprofen & paracetamol & it hasn't touched it. I resorted to stealing the baby's bonjela.

Please say someone has a miracle cure. I don't even have a dentist at the minute. What do I do?!

If it's really bad call 111 and they can get you into an NHS dentist. It's what I had to do because of a broken wisdom tooth that painkillers weren't even touching and my face had swollen. Just make sure you tell them that the pain is really bad and affecting you too much to be able to do anything. I got an appointment same day. Hope that helps

You might need an antibiotic. I have the same and every now and then it gives me bother.

orajel is good it’s adult equivalent of bonjela

Salt water rinse as often as possible. Boiled water as hot you can manage with lots of salt. Do it often. Call 111 for emergency dentist. You'll need antibiotics.

Thanks all. There's a local dentist who are apparently taking NHS patients. They open in an hour so I'm holding out until then. If not, I think I'll have to phone 111. I can't believe how much it hurts! I've been doing the salt water rinse and hubby's gone out to get some orajel.

I think you'd be lucky to get an appointment with a dentist as quickly as you need one. I'd call 111. Get your husband to get corsodyl as well.
