Fireworks at Halloween

Are people starting to have fireworks at Halloween now? There's been quite a few set off this evening. I think they are quite big/powerful ones as I could see them and they are coming from the other side of the railway line and motorway and major hospital!

Is this a new trend that I have missed up til now or is it just a random thing here (NorthWest city if that makes any difference)

Diwali?

It's happened here for years. Before COVID, kids would throw fireworks inside shops and at cars on Hallowe'en.

May not be related to antisocial behaviour, or it may be little shits up to no good (though thankfully I've not heard any reports on local news, so hopefully it's just early bonfire night revellers).

Never had them before but we did tonight. Big, loud ones 🙁 Totally freaked out most of the dogs on the street (normally only hear the odd bark).

Diwali?

Diwali's not for ages (12th November) so it won't be that.
