I love knowing peoples plans and dreams. Not even necessarily things you will do, just things you dream of doing.

It'll never happen, but i would absolutely love to fly business class on the Emirates Airline to a beautiful country.

One of those long railway holidays in Canada with no obligation to do anything except read good books and eat lovely food as you look out of the window at amazing scenery.

I'd like to set up a captive breeding programme for corn buntings.

Robotalkingrubbish · 31/10/2023 20:00

I’d love to rescue horses and ponies.

Go on a sleeper train - no shared cabins or anything - probably through middle Europe. With a proper restaurant carriage.

What's that!

I would love to have a tree nursery and then plant up many, small unused patches of land with trees. Or a farm that offers children & teenagers an opportunity to be involved in a youth club way, learning practical skills and getting them involved and a possibility of moving onto something in that area.

Well it was to see the Northern Lights but I have just done that so I'm going to have to think of something else. Probably a very long train journey. I'd also like to fly on a plane where you can lie down and sleep.

I cried when I saw the Northern Lights and jumped up and down with excitement like a child. I've wanted to see them for decades and so have the kids. Had a cancer scare earlier this year and decided we should do it! Lucky enough to see them 3 nights

I would love to visit my friends in New Zealand - they have a wonderful life there & it looks absolutely beautiful. Also really want to go to Japan during cherry blossom season.
Disneyland Florida
Fly Birds Of Prey - I did it once but the weather wasn’t good so my experience was mainly indoors.
Champagne afternoon tea at a posh hotel in London - my friend went to The Savoy & it looked absolutely amazing.
Have a whole day of pampering - massage, facial, manicure & pedicure.
Rent a beautiful house in the Yorkshire Dales for all my family to stay in, with some of our meals cooked for us. It would have a grand piano.
A day in a high fashion store with a personal shopper & a large budget!
The Northern Lights
So many more!

Did that in Kenya in the 80's. Dining car, no need for books cos amazing scenery anyway. All over now I think.....

I have a permanent bucket list OP. Doesn't mean I can do it all but dreaming about it is wonderful. Yes, I do have my feet firmly planted on the ground too

I’ve always wanted to go to Italy. There’s so much of the country I’d like to see I’d love to spend a couple of months there.

I would love to go on a great cookery course where they teach you to perfect the basics - I’m not a bad cook but I’d love some expert guidance. I’d love to finish the course with a magnificent 4 course meal.

Id love to be able to have my kitchen done. Id love to choose a bespoke design and not worry about the cost,

Id love to treat the family to a holiday, somewhere amazing we would all love.

Id love to go to an F1 race, maybe Monaco and watch the race from a super yacht. Lewis Hamilton would win and then I’d go to a glitzy party and he would be there.

I could go on and on…… it’s nice to dream …..

MariaLuna · 31/10/2023 22:02

Oh yea, did the Dakar to Bamako train too. Mali is amazing. Met my son's dad there. Son in his 30's now. Still have contact with the wonderful family.
One works for Medicins du Monde. Doctors of the World.

So sad what's going on there.

Oh, yes, would look to be able to play the drums.

Doing two of them in February - business class flight with Singapore Airlines and a stay at the Marina Bay Sands, so I can swim in the rooftop pool.

Aramist · 31/10/2023 22:52

Fly a plane solo.
Thankfully only a week or so off actually doing this following 16 hours of intensive flying lessons.
Call it a midlife crisis, but there's nothing like being up there, nothing.
Noisy engine aside, it's so peaceful.

Finallybreathe · 01/11/2023 02:15

Never say never OP. Flying business class is much more achievable than you think. Look for credit cards and sign up bonuses which allow you to redeem business class seats much cheaper than you think!

I used credit card points to fly business class to Australia return and I only paid £650! It just requires some patience 😊
