Learning to play keyboard - cable for quiet?

I have a Rockjam keyboard which I was using to learn keyboard from scratch. I'm using the Simply Piano app and paid a year upfront.

Unfortunately, my living situation has changed so I now need a keyboard which will plug into my ipad and no one will be disturbed by the painful noise of me learning!

I can't work out what I need to buy and of course I can't find the box.

I don't think the keyboard can be plugged into the ipad so I can play silebtly but not sure.

I have tried a USB to ipad cable and that didn't work.

I don't mind spending £50 or so if I need a different keyboard but what would I need?

The one I bought is very loud even on the lowest volume. If you cover the speakers, the app can't hear you play.

Sorry no help - Why does it need to plug into the iPad ?

Looking at the description on Amazon it says
For those who wish to practice in private, this piano keyboard has a headphone input as well as two 5-watt speakers for those who wish to perform
so couldn't you just get some headphones and plug them in to your current keyboard and then you'll be able to practice with no one hearing you.

It needs to plug into the ipad so the Simply Piano app I'm using to learn can hear the notes.
