Best fancy cakes London

I’m due to get some news soon and it will either be great or really not great. My friend has something to celebrate as well. We have had champagne in the fridge waiting. We want cake but he is quite particular I suggested Waitrose he said no. He likes the cakes from the Romanian bakeries but I find the cream is too sickly and they are really expensive too. Where can we get some good cake from? Not bothered about it being chocolate I prefer a fresh cream Victoria if I’m honest.

Well my friend does cakes, they are spectacular. More like sculptures, really! And she will do you whatever flavour and design you want.

I like Gail’s cakes, especially their brown butter financiers. Selfridges food hall does nice fancy patisserie stuff. Liberty do a good afternoon tea with little cakey mouthfuls.
