DVLA provisional

I applied for my first provisional license on the 18th October
They've taken the 34 pounds and it says in progress online but I've heard nothing back since and it says if you apply online it arrives within the week.
The DVLA are a nightmare to get hold off as well
Do I just wait ?
After my partner passed his test in April his card license arrived in a week

My DC applied last week and it was here in days. Very pleasantly surprised/shocked.

DS just got his in a week- 10 days. However, here it is post that is the issue (we get a lot twice a week then nothing) we're urban not rural but the Royal Mail seems to be in a mess
