Trick or treating with friends

DD almost 13 just came down and told me some of her friends are going trick or treating.
Would you let your almost 13 year go with just friends they are all 12/13.
There is 5 of them and 6 if DD goes.

My DD11 went alone with her friends. No way was I going out in the rain anyway

I would have let her go as long as she understood the basic Halloween rules.

we’ve had a few groups of teenagers. They’ve all made an effort to dress up, and have been polite. They’ve all been very welcome and were wished a Happy Halloween and thanked for being so polite.

DS12 has just come back in, he had a great time. I did give very clear instructions and made him do a dummy run with me at his bedroom door before he went 😄

He's a 'good boy' though so sure all was fine.

Yes, around here there are kids of all ages either with their parents, friends or older siblings and it just feels quite laid back and fun. I'm guilty of doing that thing of assuming everywhere is like where I am, sorry.

That is shocking - my son has just turned 8 and there is no way I would let him just go with friends. We live in a main road but still...

Under /1516 is fine IMO though - we had a few of that age tonight and I happily let them take sweets
