I have a manual one and I love it!

I like that it feels quite spacious with a decent boot capacity but is normal car width so very easy to park in normal parking spaces.

It's very easy to drive, adjustable seat which is important for me as I am very short.

DH is currently using it to drive to work as his car is making weird noises and he loves it too, although it does seem to use a lot of fuel.

I have a 65 plate automatic one, really easy to drive, I have two car seats in the back which means I can't fit someone in the middle. The boot is spacious for general use not if you need a pram in there.

But they are lovely to drive and generally very good cars

We’ve had one. Lovely cars but Ds who was 8/9 at the time hated it as compared to other cars we’ve had he felt he couldn’t see out of the back as well and didn’t have as much room.

I've got a 19 plate manual. My previous car was a Nissan Micra - a tiny convertible one. I had to upsize to fit the kids in.

I've been very happy with it. It's roomy without being too big. I find it easy to drive and park. I'm very happy with it.

I think they look pretty stylish too.

Remycheese · 31/10/2023 08:39

One I’m looking at is 19 plate automatic gt line £15k eek ( but think that’s the prices nowadays) 32k miles on the clock .

I've had two, both manual. Loved them. Was persuaded by dh to get something else and I regret it massively!!

Bouledeneige · 31/10/2023 23:15

I had an automatic one. I had to repeatedly keep topping up the oil which I flagged at all my services. It blew up completely at 3.5 years old and they had to replace the whole engine and on board computer. I then got rid of it.

They have a terrible reputation for engine failure. Ask an MOT garage.

Bouledeneige · 31/10/2023 23:16

I now have a Mini Countryman and it's a million times better.

KnickerlessParsons · 31/10/2023 23:22

Ours is a 2019 diesel. We love it, though I would hardly call the boot space "generous"! We find it a bit too small

wellAverage · 31/10/2023 23:23

You do realise it's a Renault?

PassMeTheCookies · 31/10/2023 23:24

They are nice cars but they are basically Renault Clios on stilts. It gives the illusion of a bigger car, but it's not. I didn't find I had any extra space compared to the Clio, and in fact I had less boot space. My pram fit into my Clio but not into the Captur but it did have an extra "shelf" you could remove for extra depth.

tapdancingmum · 31/10/2023 23:27

We had one and got rid of it quite quickly as there was no boot space. We couldn't get a weeks worth of shopping in it and no chance of getting any bags of compost in from the garden centre. Neither of the girls liked it as they said it was quite uncomfortable in the back as well.

Changed it for a Qashqai and haven't looked back.

DD has one, she went from a shit Suzuki Alto to a 20 plate Captur automatic and loves it.

Bouledeneige · 04/11/2023 13:35

Remycheese my one was a 2015 number plate and blew up in 2020. All properly serviced by Renault.

I now have a Mini Countryman which is all round a better built car. But then they are made by BMW.

Bouledeneige · 04/11/2023 13:38

Sorry it was a 2015 1.2 TCE Dynamique S Media Nav.

Remycheese · 04/11/2023 18:48

I’m still looking think if I get one it’ll definitely be a gt line most likely a 19 plate automatic 1.3 petrol but I’m still thinking it over as the dealer won’t budge on price
