Smoking during pregnancy

I used to vape a lot before pregnancy and even now months on I still crave it so much. As soon as I found out I was expecting though I instantly went cold turkey. Initially I didn't find it difficult, but I still have the craving. I'm not sure if that feeling will ever go away? Does it?

Every time I've been at the maternity unit near me though I've seen so many expectant mothers outside smoking which seems bat shit to me. Surely the midwives should not allow this? Do people really not care about the harm they're doing to their baby?

I assume they do care but quitting smoking is really, really hard. Also, for some being pregnant might be very stressful, which makes it even harder to quit smoking tjen. I stopped smoking when we started TTC but craved it like crazy till morning sickness hit. Thankfully then the cravings stopped.

Also, are you sure they are all pregnant? They might be there to visit someone or for some other reason.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and congrats on stopping smoking. :-)

I always think the best thing to do in life is to not worry about what other people are up to. Their choices and decisions don’t affect you in anyway, so why waste your time thinking about it when there’s so many better things to have in your mind?

Well done on giving up! And congratulations on your pregnancy.
