Quickest easiest Halloween costume ever

Dd age 12 tells me at 6pm tonight that she needs a costume for trick or treat. I'm at work all day. She will get home from school at 5pm. No time to shop. What should she wear?

bunch of makeup on the face- really pale. Cracks done with eyeliner- porcelain doll/ghoul/zombie

Have you got 2 pairs of black tights and newspaper? Stuff the newspaper in the tights. Sew 2 legs on each side of a black jumper. Sort of attach the legs on each side to your arm so when you hold your arm out it looks like you have 3 on each side. Wear a pair of black leggings or jeans. Draw a spider in eye pencil on your cheek. You are now a spider.

A cat is always an easy one. Black eye liner to draw a nose/whiskers, stick two black triangles on a hair band for ears & then just a black top/trousers/dress

This. I had a last minute Halloween stressed kid and did this and it was easy and effective.

I don't recommend the sheet with eye holes unless you also have a way to keep the sheet in place so the person wearing it can see out!

Zombie school girl

Rip up slightly white school shirt or whatever old uniform you have

Use black eyeliner to make scars on face etc

And red lipstick for blood etc

If you have fake blood already then use that obviously around mouth

Buy a Halloween makeup kit and blood cheap in the sales for subsequent years

last year she was too grown-up for trick-or-treat and we gave away all the costumes. this year, a friend invited her to go so it is back on.

unfortunately, I have no make up and no time to sew anything.

One year I had to make a very last minute costume. I drew a scar across my forehead with eyeliner and carried a cauliflower with a line drawn down the middle. I was a brain donor.

Cereal killer? (Use cut up bits of cereal boxes stuck to clothes and a fake knife)

I dressed DD up as an Evil Doll one year
Pretty frock, stripey tights , an apron (made from an old pillowcase)
Face done alabaster (like a porcelain china doll) angry looking eyebrows , eyelashes painted with eyeliner , pink circle cheeks and a line across both cheeks from corner of lips then short vertical lines to look like its stitched .

Black sheet/blanket/your black dress with arms tucked in and neck pinned closed over head. Draw no face's face on a piece of paper. Pin to sheet below eyes (so child can see thru blanket). Violà - No Face from spirited away.

All black out fit, maybe a black and white striped top, use a black eyeliner to draw whiskers on, and make the eyes look catty, use a hair band and stick on to black triangles for ears. You have a cat
