Save to quit alcohol cold turkey?

For various reasons I have been drinking more and more heavily over the years. This has increased massively recently due to an extremely stressful few months.
I have been drinking around a bottle and half of wine every single night at least for at least two months.
I have no withdrawal symptoms such as shakes etc throughout the day, and I only drink once I’ve finished work. Is it safe to just stop suddenly? I feel like it is, but keep getting conflicting information.
Thank you

People will be along to tell you it’s not but at that level jell in would be amazed if you had serious physical symptoms of withdrawal.
I am not a medical professional though

I imagine I would have tremors in the morning if I was physically dependant; and I don’t. So I think it’s probably fine.
I don’t want to be wrong though!

I have quit cold turkey from drinking about this amount more than once (obviously not always successfully long term - but I am sober now for two years!). I never experienced any form of physical withdrawal symptoms. My husband drank more than this I would say and also quit cold turkey and was completely fine.

Having said this, as PP said we are not doctors - everyone is different and it would be best to seek actual medical advice tailored to your own situation if you are worried.

I meant ‘safe’, not ‘save’ 🤦‍♀️

@Ilovelurchers well done - 2 years is fantastic.
7 years here and it really does keep getting better if you keep doing the work 🙌🏻
