Bloody covid. Absolutely wiped out, feel weak and exhausted.

Would love a film or a gripping series to watch.

Paranormal activity is a good horror film.

There's 4 of them if you like it.

KStockHERO · 30/10/2023 11:24

This was me a few weeks ago, OP. Sympathies.

I watched:
Fern Gully - Epic amounts of childhood memories

Once Upon A Forest - Ditto

God's Favourite Idiot - Absolutely shite but was a kind of brain screensaver

Unstable - Alright, more entertaining than God's Favourite Idiot, still very childish and wooden, but a good screensaver

Who Is Erin Carter - I only got a couple of episodes in but it was really good, I was gripped.

teenysaladandsniffofarose · 30/10/2023 11:25

Line of duty! Rewatching it atm and forgot how gripping it is!

Or bodyguard on Netflix is good.

Username6445 · 30/10/2023 11:29

Have you got Apple TV? If so: Ted Lasso and The Morning Show.

Hope you feel better soon.

Username6445 · 30/10/2023 11:30

Also, just rewatched The Sixth Sense the other night and that still stands the test of time.

edit: typo

BitofaStramash · 30/10/2023 11:30

I've got Covid too. Second week of it. Been watching ER from the start. Nearly on season 3.

Guiltyfeethavegotnorhythm0 · 30/10/2023 11:48

Oh come on you need something childish and funny put Tom and Jerry on .

HectorGloop · 30/10/2023 11:53

West Wing is my go-to comfort TV.

Also recommend The Good Place and Community for comedy. The Boys is great for very dark humour. I'm contemplating re-watching Game of Thrones.

The Night Agent and Travelers are lightweight but exciting.

Birchvalley · 30/10/2023 12:02

I recently enjoyed a load of Grand designs when under a blanket on the sofa recently.
Kevin McCloud’s voice was very gentle to drift off to sleep to!

Bluevelvetsofa · 30/10/2023 12:26

Bosch and Bosch Legacy
The Chelsea Detective
Kingdom
John Wick

StasisMom · 30/10/2023 12:44

I'm working my way through Extras, having just finished The Office. Get well soon.

therealcookiemonster · 30/10/2023 12:56

when I am braindead, I like to re watch stuff like Downton Abbey, modern family or big bang theory. something low key and chilled out.

if you want something more high octane - the latest spiderman movie (actually quite good) is on Netflix. if you have Disney+, plenty of marvel stuff on there. I think tenent is on Netflix quite good.

paramount on prime has lioness which I rather liked. I also recently rewatched first wives club...

hope you feel better soon!

Lola2PC · 30/10/2023 13:04

Bodies on Netflix is really good. Just finished it. Feel better soon!

KissTheRains · 30/10/2023 13:07

I had COVID and could barely think straight. I stuck on old sitcoms I found in Disney+ and Netflix
Seinfeld
Home Improvement
Golden Girls
Etc.

Took me back to the good old days in my stupor. 🤣

Moredarkchocolateplease · 30/10/2023 13:09

My teen daughter just introduced me to Greys Anatomy.

I suspect 20yrs after everyone else! But I've been addicted ever since and I'm currently ill on the sofa watching my fourth episode of the day.

BlueChampagne · 30/10/2023 13:16

Derry Girls - for laughs and nostalgia!

BaronessBomburst · 30/10/2023 16:53

Superstore on Netflix.
It's set in Cloud Nine, which is like a Walmart, and is very funny. The storyline follows the staff but the random shots of the shoppers doing weird stuff are often hilarious.

GettingColdFeet · 30/10/2023 16:56

BBC iPlayer: Ghosts

Also Shetland is excellent but maybe not if you're wiped out and don't fancy a crime series (also on BBC iPlayer)

Goldenmemories · 30/10/2023 16:57

I've got covid too. Started Bodies today. Couldn't really follow it but a good distraction. Get well soon

Bemyclementine · 30/10/2023 18:59

Thank you fir all the suggestions, I have mostly laid on the sofa staring into space today . I will have a look at these tomorriw and hopefully find something that takes my fancy. Sorry others are suffering.
