Bosch WAN28050GB washing machine - Does the spin cycle rinse the clothes beforehand (why?) or does it just spin them?

I'm interested in buying this machine as the spin cycle in our 20 years old Bosch washing machine doesn't work properly any longer.

There seems to be some confusion over whether the spin cycle rinses the clothes beforehand (which would seem like a mad thing to do) or whether it just spins the clothes.

We always give the clothes an extra spin or two as it removes a lot more water and speeds up drying.

Is anyone who owns this machine able to confirm how the spin cycle works?
TIA

It's annoying and confusing, but you can just spin

I have an ice tub in the garden. Rinse and spin is perfect for getting a bikini dry enough for the next day.
Pretty isolated scenario though.

Thanks @Ididntknowuntiliknew
That's very helpful.
Surely the default should be with rinse off !

I have a 3 year old Bosch (WAN282812GB) and when I use an additional spin cycle, it does not rinse again. The only issue I have with the machine is that the max spin is 1200. (According to the manufacturer - sorry, I fell down a rabbit hole - WAN28050GB is no longer available). Don't know if this helps. I would be quite happy, touchwood, buying another Bosch,.

Oh dear, I'm sure it was available a week or two ago!

I think you mean that you have the WAN28282GB.
The energy rating of that is C.
I think I'd like an A energy rating if possible.

I imagine it purely spins. From googling there is a separate option for rinsing.
