I'm finding I'm choking on water when I'm trying to swallow at the moment. It's happening most days.
I'm a HCP, work in a job with a lot of dysphagia/IDDSI training and I know the way I'm struggling to drink, if it was a client I'd be concerned and wanting a review.
I have health anxiety though, I've just been referred by my GP for a ?scan of an ovarian cyst, I've also got an ultrasound for something else next week, and I'm worried if I go to them and say, I'm choking on water, they'll think I'm just mucking about.
I had a normal CT chest/abdo/pelvis back in summer and a normal colonoscopy about a year ago, both due to ongoing health issues (GI bleeding/permanent bowel issues).
I'm on a shitload of MH medication although no anti psychotics.
Also have dyspraxia.
I'm seeing my CPN tomorrow so beginning to wonder if I should tell her, its definitely getting worse ie I'm noticing I'm having to really focus on swallowing water - food and thicker stuff isn't an issue, it's water etc that's the problem!
