The telegraph is behind a paywall &
There are usually two options

Try copying the link into archive.ph & it might bring it up.
OR
Open the link, once it's up, go into 'airplane' mode. I find this can usually bring the page up even if you aren't a subscriber.

Or copy the link into printfriendly.com and you should get the whole article (works for the Telegraph but not the Times, as far as I recall).

That's a lovely piece. There were many similarities I think between him and Robin Williams. So sad.

It won’t let me read that without paying

If you read it on an iPad, often going into Safari, Advanced settings, and switching off Java is a fix. Remember to switch it on again though, or you’ll think no links work .

You may need to refresh the page when you first do it to read the page.

Sadly doesn’t work for all pay walls.

Thanks for suggestions, I’ll give them a try now. Added complication may be that I’m in Canada and the government isn’t letting us open news links from social media. But this is t that, so cross fingers.
