What to do with a 12 year old

I have a week off with my 12 year old this coming week and looking for inspiration of things to do. He is really not keen on central London, finds the crowds etc overwhelming. Put a damp squib on my museum ideas. He suggested watching a movie and going to the cinema but I'm kind of hoping to find better ideas. Any lovely activities or walks around south west London. What have been your best days with kids?

Richmond Park?
Thames Path?
Bushy Park?
Windsor?

Maybe something at the theatre?

VR escape room was fun.

Does he like boats? You can get a boat from Richmond to Kingston or vice versa, I think. And around Kingston you can hire kayaks and paddle on the Thames around the little islands or up the Wey navigation. It's lovely.

Visit Hampton Court? Can you do out of season tours of Wimbledon courts?
Go cycling or walking in Richmond or Bushy Parks and spot the deer (there's a white deer and also a deer 'nursery' where the baby deer congregate under a tree, looked after by a couple of female deer. It's very sweet.)

Thank. Some good tips. He does love escape rooms for sure and I think Richmond /thames path will be great too. I did suggest imperial war but he wasn't so keen but I might consider again...
