I've been asked this for a special birthday so wondering what others would do?

I'm thinking of a new perfume, maybe from Jo Malone.

Boots. Might have to wait for a sale.

Membership of Kew/V&A/British Museum/British Library
New towels and recycle the tatty old ones.
Linen sheets.
Gorgeous dressing gown.

Or a cashmere scarf - something functional but luxurious, so you enjoy and appreciate it. I'd want something I was going to use and not save for 'best'.
