Trying to remember a poem

Years ago, for my FILs eulogy I read a poem. It was about a man who showed his love through actions- fixing things, mending things etc.
I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called.

My friend remembered it and would like to see it as she's looking for a similar reading. Does anyone have any suggestions? (The original order of service etc was lost in a house flood many years ago). .

I don't think it can be this one, but I do like Atlas by UA Fanthorpe, though it's not specifically about a man. Also I'm not sure how much the person she wrote about would like it.

Atlas by U. A. Fanthorpe

There is a kind of love called maintenance Which stores the WD40 and knows when to use it; Which checks the insurance, and doesn’t forget The milkman; which remembers to plant bulbs; Which answers …

I don’t understand the last line of your post - how much they would like what?

@TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross I just mean that if UA Fanthorpe had been my life partner and had published this poem saying that my best talent was for paying bills and laughing at her jokes, I might have had a bit of a tantrum. But then I am not as nice as her partner clearly was.

I love that UA Fanthorpe poem. I'd be happy if someone wrote that about me, because it is an appreciation of the everyday acts that aren't always seen as love, but often are a way of expressing love. That poem reminds me of my uncle.

Oh, I see! If my DH wrote that poem about me, I’d be delighted. How wonderful to be seen and loved for the little everyday things that you do.
