Attn. veggies- Aldi feta no longer vegetarian

That's my dinner completely ruined 😒
Just wanted to give people a heads up so they don't get caught out, too.

Oh shit how the hell did they manage that? Where even do you buy non-vegetarian Feta? The process doesn't require rennet FFS! Aldi's dairy buyer would have to get up really early in the morning to find a non-veggie feta to stock in stores!

The packaging has changed, I'm an idiot for not reading the ingredients.

Also, today I accidentally bought a FreeFrom carbonara sauce which was free from everything except bloody ham. ARRRRRGH I feel so stupid, of course I should have checked, so this thread seems like a good place to commiserate.

Oh no! These things are not cheap, either.

I have no protein for dinner now, I'm going to have to just have a plate of veggies and I'm going to be sooo hungry. I can't go out as I've been on the go since 5 am, was really looking forward to my meal ☹️

I ate some with lunch, just checked the packaging and mine isn't vegetarian. So annoying, I'm going to contact them- they should advertise changes like this.

I usually get 'Greek style salad cheese', but it's for DS, not me. Not a huge feta fan so I have no idea how it compares to the real deal. I think that's still veggie, though I bought it from Sainsburys this week.
