Static caravan or similar

Never owned a caravan and saw one cheapish and been wondering since after looking where I could get one to go...

Do you really need your own private land to buy a doer upper or are there actually parks or places anywhere that you can simply pay for the pitch?

My car won't tow a touring caravan, nor can I afford one that's not a doer upper to buy so maybe I just can't get a caravan 😂 but please let me know if sites exist that allow you to plonk what you like on

Yes there are sites that will let you bring your own van but the cost of transporting one is huge and wherever it goes, there will be site fees which will be several thousand pounds a year.
The cheapest way to do it is to buy an old van that is already on site with relatively low fees.
Many sites will not allow older vans so you also need to pick one that won't kick you off when the van is 15 years old.
Realistically the only sites that allow this are in places that are not popular with holidaymakers - ie a long way from the coast or popular attractions.

Ooh gotcha, I'm not bothered about coast but wanted local enough to use often (hours drive or something) and unfortunately I live in London so perhaps that'll be a unfortunately doesn't exist situation

Thank you for answering me!
