Recommendations please!

They have "outgrown" (and watched to death....) all Paw Patrol Halloween episodes.
Loved all old Scooby Doo Dvds

I'm not sure we've watched anything else specifically Halloweeny

Hocus Pocus!

Fordian · 28/10/2023 18:26

Mine were Y2 I guess, but 'Nightmare before Christmas' isn't that scary. Maybe watch it first.

Bemyclementine · 28/10/2023 18:27

Ooh yes, sorry, 6 and 8.

Gingerlygreen · 28/10/2023 19:08

Mine love Goosebumps and Monster House

xyz111 · 28/10/2023 19:17

My 6yo loves nightmare before Christmas. Has for a couple of years now, nothing fazes him 🤦🏻‍♀️

MelonySea · 28/10/2023 19:18

Hotel transylvania
Casper
Addams family
Hocus pocus
Little monsters

Wolfen · 28/10/2023 19:18

Labyrinth was popular with mine at that age.

DeeCee77 · 28/10/2023 19:25

The Worst Witch (the "iconic" Tim Curry film).

Its the one I watched every Halloween.

Besides that, Addams Family.

BurntOrangeAutumn · 28/10/2023 19:39

Coraline

jays · 28/10/2023 19:42

Monster House, Haunted Mansion, Goosebumps and The Simpson’s Halloween special

Goldenboysmum · 28/10/2023 19:43

Monster house

edwinbear · 28/10/2023 19:51

Casper
Possibly Beetlejuice?
Coco

gawditswindy · 28/10/2023 19:52

Mine (6 and 7) love the Nightmare before Christmas and Casper the Friendly Ghost. We're currently watching The Addams Family but I'm not sure to what extent they get it.

Girasoli · 28/10/2023 20:05

Not Halloween specifically but...monsters Inc and hotel transylvania are both fun.

Sluj · 28/10/2023 20:11

Hocus Ppcus is actually quite scary for younger children and you might find yourself having to explain what a virgin is 😄

Tinkeytonkoldfruit · 28/10/2023 20:19

@DeeCee77 completely forgot about that, I remember that for being a kid! Can you tell me what you watch it on - would love to revisit.

We watched nightmare before Christmas today and she loved it.

I'm thinking about Young Sherlock Holmes for a watch this week with DD, I remember finding it quite scary as a kid.

Aworldofmyown · 28/10/2023 20:21

We love Frankenweenie!

devildeepbluesea · 28/10/2023 20:22

I watched Hocus Pocus for the first time today ( I think it was the first time, I’m 50!). Man, it was bad. Not surprising it bombed when it came out.

I’d Addams Family or Nightmare Before Christmas.

Sparkleshine21 · 28/10/2023 20:23

My six year old gets scared in nightmare before xmas and hocus pocus. She likes scooby doo, the great pumpkin snoopy/Charlie brown movie and there’s a new one called mummies which looks good!

Sparkleshine21 · 28/10/2023 20:24

Also the new muppets haunted house looks very good
