Do men and women experience romantic love in the same way?

I’m listening to Radio 2 and they are playing “The Last Waltz” by Englebert Humperdinck. It occurs to me that the only time I’ve heard men express deep feelings of romantic love is in song lyrics. I’m not convinced most men ever really feel romantic love in the same way that many women do. I think many men are kind, loyal, caring and crave partnership, but they rarely feel that “thing.”

I persoanlly think men feel romantic love, but they show it differently. They are kind, loyal and caring when they are in love and this is how their love manifests itself. Whereas a lot of women like to "hear words" affirming romantic love, so struggle when they don't hear them.

Some men do, some men don't. Some women do, some women don't. More women do though. Imo the fact that more women than men express romantic feelings is mostly to do with having been brought up in a society that promotes a very romantic view of relationships to girls from when they are very little. This explains a lot about how many women choose partners for bad reasons, and how easily men can manipulate many women by love-bombing etc.
