Is there anything I can take in terms of supplements? I’m exhausted.
Not enough hours in the day. SEN / unwell dc. Interrupted sleep every night.

So many appointments.

Extra housework due to additional needs.

My body aches I live on coffee.

Can’t afford a cleaner and no family nearby.

please any suggestions for something that might help - take a multivitamin but doesn’t seem to make a difference. Peri menopausal too so all the associated issues

That sounds so hard. Other than my usual advice which would be see Gp and get bloods checked for anaemia / thyroid etc. (which I suspect you already have).

Take iron anyway, the GP used threshold for anaemia is lower than it should be so you may be even if everything looks 'fine'.

Slow releasing carbs and good proteins.

Conversely, gentle exercise might help although I imagine you are too tired to try that.

Gp said it’s not that and probably low mood to self refer to talking therapy. When do I have time for an appt for me ….. plus low mood won’t make cycles 25 days when they were 35 and make them that heavy !

Thyroid ok as already on meds for that and it’s checked regularly. I try going for walks I think it makes me more tired but maybe it’ll help long term

that sounds tough, OP. Hugs. Won’t in anyway help gynae issues but are you drinking enough water? If you’re living on coffee, that will be dehydrating and lead to lethargy, sore head etc.

also, can you try for a run of early nights? Might take the edge of the tiredness.

Iron.

Most multivitamins and iron tablet are very badly absorbed by the body.

Try taking a tablet with orange juice and not eating for half an hour, or there is liquid form.

(Not saying that will cure everything but it might help).

Iron? Vitamin D?

GP sounds unhelpful.

Is the interrupted sleep due to DC or night sweats or other stuff? That will be having a big impact.

If night sweats HRT can be very helpful and I also found it helped with my anxiety.

There are private menopause clinics all over the place now that will see you and are not too much money. I think Superdrug do it as well.

Ask for a referral to the women’s health clinic at the hospital. My GP said it wasn’t memo but referred me there. The nurse at the clinic gave me HRT without even asking me any questions. She said it was obvious that is what I needed just from my notes.
