Home is where the heart is

Where is it for you?

Would it be your current home (assuming you’ve moved away) or would you still consider it to be the house or place where you spent your childhood?

I am not sure because I do still return to my childhood home and area (mum still lives there) quite regularly and I do feel strong affection for it. But I also love my current home, the one my DH and chose to buy and build into a family home for our children.
I obviously know that this is our home, but when I hear that phrase my heart automatically goes pinging back to my childhood home!
DH thinks I’m a weirdo so I’m putting the question out there for you oh wise ones 😆

Aww I was not expecting that! And I’m NOT telling my DH anyone has said that 😂
By the way, my 10 yr old would approve of your great username, they are a gravy fiend!

This house is my home, I never want to leave it, but I know what you mean about feeling a pull to where you were brought up.

This house is home. I have no pull to my childhood home several hundred miles away, because there’s no family there now. It’s too big though now and we’ll have to move, but not at the moment.
