Snorkel masks

Sorry unsure correct place to post this.

We now have a plethora of full face masks and snorkel masks and separate tubes.

I had high hopes of the full face masks but I can't get on with it and neither can dd1. Dd1 has bought a posh traditional set and is super independent diving down and managing long snorkels. We are by the tea sea just now.

Dd2 (10) and I are struggling. The full face masks leak or steam up. I can't work out if it's the fit that's the issue or the design in general??

Is buying good quality traditional sets just a better option? Are the full face masks a gimmick?

I recall the full face things come in different sizes, so it may be you have the wrong size.

As for steaming up, you need to either spit in it and rub it around the lens, or if you don't fancy that, you can get anti fog spray from a diving shop.

I'm a scuba instructor, and always just use a little spit. Rinse it briefly with sea water after but as close as possible to going in.
