Hello,

8 weeks ago my child went to live with his father I informed child benefit immediately and was told I had done everything from my end and was told I continue to be entitled for 8 weeks.

8 weeks later it’s still showing my entitlement to child benefit on my HMRC app, I’m just wondering if I’ve done everything or should I call again as I know I’m not entitled?

im not paying toward dc simply his father won’t let me out of spite and he hasn’t claimed child benefit because his partner earns to much.

Just put the money aside and don't touch it.

Id ring CB office again and tell them a second time. If it still happens I'd put the money aside and not touch it.

Do you get to see your child still?
If you have contact with them and pay for things for them when you see them then you should still be able to claim CB
