Help! Itchy bum, no worms

My 6 year old has been up a few times, very, very distressed about her bum, saying 'it's annoying!'. The last time this happened, there were worms coming out of her bum. This was about 2 years ago.

Same crying and squealing but no sign of worms. I did the torch check very thoroughly and couldn't see anything. I found some Canestan cream and gave her that, and some Calpol (clutching at straws here!).

Pharmacy doesn't open til the morning (will be getting the anti worm stuff for us all!!!) but what to do!? What could it be? Help!

Is crazy itching always a sign of worms, is what I'm asking.

It's generally a sign she hasn't cleaned herself property after the toilet.

Put some Sudocrem around her bottom and she will soon feel better!

Worms aren't always that obvious.
Give her a dose
Of Ovex to be sure, I would.

Possibly! Her bum seemed very red. She is sleeping now finally! @BastardtheCat I will be banging the door down at the chemist in the morning!
