Has anyone improved their saggy bum?

Heya. I'm mid fifties and seemingly overnight my bum has dropped. It now looks flat and rectangular (I'm not overweight due to quite strict dieting).
I know it's pretty common at my age and I've desperately doing loads of squats but am probably doing them wrong. Has anyone my sort of age or older managed to improve their sagging rear with exercise? Do I need to get a personal trainer and take up power lifting? Many thanks

I'm 42, started weight lifting about 18-24 months ago, and yes, it's helped massively.

Highly recommend getting a PT if you can find a knowledgeable one.

Lots of good exercises work glutes - hip thrusts, squats, split squats and lunges, deadlifts etc.

Good luck!
Stair climbing and cycling also quite good, but less focused on glutes.

Even more effective if you add weights/dumbbells.

A few sessions with a PT is a good idea if you are new to exercise.

But then it's time for Caroline Girvan.
Look her up. Life-changing.

I'm nearly 70 and have been doing this for 4 years or so. Sometimes I cannot believe how defined my muscles are and how strong I am.

Thank you both. This is so helpful and I'm so grateful!
