How do I I remove my phone number?

I keep getting texts and phone calls for someone else who has obviously put my number (by mistake i assume) when applying for a loan. I keep getting called this name on phone calls and texts.
I've blocked them as they come in but seem to just get more.
Any suggestions how i can remove my number from the database or whatever it is? Thanks

The settings on my phone mean that I only receive calls from anyone on my list of contacts. Anyone else goes straight to voicemail. I find that works really well. Hope this is helpful.

It's more the texts that are annoying tbh. Also I don't want my number connected to anyone who needs a loan.
