I was told many years ago that New Zealanders eat kiwi with the skin on, they rub off the hairs.

I eat kiwi with the skin on!

All of my children eat apple cores and kiwi skin.

I leave skins on for mashed potatoes which my mum thinks is lazy.

I love ham but never have sandwiches, so when kids have eaten elsewhere and DH is away I buy some and eat it out the pack by the light of the fridge chased down with a Babybel and maybe a finger swiped through a pot of houmous and call it dinner. My DH would laugh if he knew this, seeing as how much I’m into balanced family meals all of us sat at the table on other nights.

I eat apple and pear cores.

NoItsStillNighttimeDarling · 26/10/2023 21:16

DS eats apple cores no matter how many times I tell him not to

Does eating round sweets like skittles/ maltesars in twos count?

MrsMoastyToasty · 26/10/2023 21:17

Bourbon biscuits! Remove the top and eat, nibble around the filling left on the bottom layer, then eat the bit with the filling.

Strokethefurrywall · 26/10/2023 21:20

I eat marmite toast weirdly.

Toast the bread until it's proper toastie (but not burnt)
Stand them upright against each other to cool slightly so they don't get soggy on the plate (or tent them as I refer to it)
Add butter and marmite
Nibble off all the crusts bar the top one and then peel the top marmitey layer of toast away.
Eat bottom non marmite later, then eat lovely marmite layer and then finish with the best crust.

Been doing this since 1985, I don't know why.

DustyLee123 · 26/10/2023 21:21

With a Dime and Star Bar I nibble all the chocolate off first, then eat the middle.

LittlestG · 26/10/2023 21:22

I eat pies by taking the top off and eating the pastry, then eating the filling and then eating the rest of the pastry afterwards. DH thinks it's very weird. 🤣

Sorrynotsorry2 · 26/10/2023 21:23

I eat the chocolate layer off a jaffa cake first. Then the sponge and save the orange jelly bit for last.

BitofaStramash · 26/10/2023 21:25

I leave skins on for mashed potatoes

If I do that I call them "bashed potatoes" instead of "mashed"

OhDoh · 26/10/2023 21:26

Pies, I flip them over, take off the end and eat the filling. I then eat the bottom crust, followed by the sides then the top. My DP finds it very strange. Also ice cream, I only like it when I have mixed it up and it's going very soft.. I don't order it in restaurants for this reason.

DiscoBeat · 26/10/2023 21:26

I bite the outside chunky layer off Ferrerro chocolates leaving the smooth inner ball then eat that in two halves. Keep them in the fridge for that reason!

Gro · 26/10/2023 21:30

Kids eat chocolate off a mini roll first then the sponge. DH once told them to eat it normally, I said "that is normal!"

Opinions?

I started doing this recently, it's actually really delicious!

Winnipeggy · 26/10/2023 21:32

Also I lick every bit of flavouring off of Pringles before eating them

Nope, that’s absolutely normal

Raincloudsonasunnyday · 26/10/2023 21:46

I eat a Twix layer by layer, top down.

Always eat carrots (whole or batons) a la Bugs Bunny ie quickly biting it all in before chewing and swallowing.
