Do you have a tree growing in your tummy after eating the seeds? That’s what I was told would happen!

I expect she’d have a whole first by now!

My wife eats McVities plain chocolate digestives with HP sauce spread on the chocolate side.

What. The. Fuck????

Wanderinghome · 26/10/2023 23:40

I knew someone who before warming up their mince pie would open the top and put some cheese in, so it would melt in. He was convinced it was delicious so i tried it, never again, it's not delicious at all and there's a reason that I've never heard of anyone else doing it.

Gcsunnyside23 · 26/10/2023 23:41

I eat a Big Mac in about 5/6 layers. I would need to have one to calculate this exactly.

Gherkin level one??? 😀

I eat marmite toast weirdly.

Toast the bread until it's proper toastie (but not burnt)
Stand them upright against each other to cool slightly so they don't get soggy on the plate (or tent them as I refer to it)
Add butter and marmite
Nibble off all the crusts bar the top one and then peel the top marmitey layer of toast away.
Eat bottom non marmite later, then eat lovely marmite layer and then finish with the best crust.

Been doing this since 1985, I don't know why.

I tent my toast slices too!

Warm milk on every single cereal. I thought this was normal until I met my DH

ttcat37 · 26/10/2023 23:46

Tunnock’s tea cakes. You have to smash them on your forehead before you unwrap them.

ALongHardWinter · 26/10/2023 23:47

If I get a Big Mac from McDonald's,I always have to eat the layers separately. The lid of the bun, burger and middle bun layer first, then the rest.

How do you eat a kiwi with skin on?

Like a boiled egg I think?????

nozbottheblue · 26/10/2023 23:48

I was told many years ago that New Zealanders eat kiwi with the skin on, they rub off the hairs.

The most popular kiwi fruit in New Zealand is the golden kiwi, which is eaten skin and all- the skin is much thinner and less hairy than the ones that we get in UK.

I eat apple and pear cores”

Me too. A little arsenic is very good for you, apparently.

spookehtooth · 26/10/2023 23:51

I've eaten banana skins once, as a kind of vegan "bacon" smear in syrup or agave, forget which, then fry them until a bit crispy.

Kiwi with skin on is great, it was tiring to make effort to remove it for such a small fruit

Sweet potato I've used to make a breakfast treat with a peanut butter based sauce, berries and banana with vegan yoghurt

Made an awesome porridge using cauliflower rice. Cauliflower is so versatile, providing textured surface for adding flavour

Using mashed beans to make an alternative "mash" to potato?

Dessert creams using tofu?

I'm sure there's more in my memory. It's great using ingredients in ways that violate some people's expectations on what they're used for

MariaMeringue · 27/10/2023 00:00

If I have a pizza in a restaurant, I always start eating it from the middle and leave a perfect uncut circle of crust.

shardash · 27/10/2023 00:24

I peel the skin off radishes with my front teeth and eat that first.

TomatoSandwiches · 27/10/2023 00:29

I never eat the middle of a burger, I eat all the edges and create a mini burger that I leave.
I only eat half ( as in sliced in half ) a hot dog in a bun so 1 whole hotdog would do me for two buns, it's a texture/meat to bun ratio thing.

Discwriter · 27/10/2023 00:46

@ttcat37 😂I'm doing that tomorrow at work.

ButWhatIsIt · 27/10/2023 00:47

Oranges, tangerines and satsumas. I chew all the juice out of the segments individually, then remove the chewed segment into a piece of kitchen roll.
Once I've finished doing that, I then eat all the segments.

Bounty bars, I nibble all the chocolate off, then eat the coconut while drinking a coffee.

wellStupid · 27/10/2023 00:47

Raincloudsonasunnyday · 26/10/2023 23:40

What. The. Fuck????

I know!
But actually if you try it, it tastes ok

I dare you to try it.

DrFoxtrot · 27/10/2023 01:09

I'm surprised nobody has name changed 😂 some of these are much more outing than DH's hobby/ cycling.

Mouldyfoodhelp · 27/10/2023 01:13

therealcookiemonster · 26/10/2023 23:20

@Mouldyfoodhelp you eat the skin first obv... then the kiwi flesh... and finally the seeds one by one

But with the hair and everything? It feels like there should be some prep

Mumtobabyhavoc · 27/10/2023 02:00

ThirtyThrillionThreeTrees · 26/10/2023 23:11

Not sure but I love chocolate chip cookies dunked in ice cold mild. Everyone thinks it's disgusting so only done in private now.

Not weird at all - to me. But. I am in Canada and here, as well as in the States, it is not at all unusual to "dunk." Americans famously dunk donuts into their coffee, too, btw. I've tried it with cake donuts and I can affirm it's brilliant! 😛

coxesorangepippin · 27/10/2023 02:09

That blokes' poo will be red!

Always eat carrots (whole or batons) a la Bugs Bunny ie quickly biting it all in before chewing and swallowing.

^

Hahah

Someoneonlyyouknow · 27/10/2023 02:32

Like others I like to take the chocolate off the sides of a Mars Bar. Then eat the Milky Way bit and the bendy toffee strip (with chocolate on top) last.

Someoneonlyyouknow · 27/10/2023 02:36

Sandwiches should be cut diagonally not into squares. If someone else makes my sandwich and cuts it horizontally, the round end is better than the square
