How long did it take you to recover from covid?

I've been testing positive since Saturday and I've been feeling steadily worse ever since

I know there are a lot of variables and everyone's different but how long did it take you to recover from the current strain?

Surely it can't go on much longer!?

Please give me some hope 😭

I tested positive for a week, I tested day 1 day 6 and day 7 was clear. Had to test for work.

I felt the worst I've felt in many years, it was a merry go round of symptoms and if I felt a little better one day the next would make me feel awful with something else. I felt tired for about a week after and had some weird dizziness on and off for 10 days but I'm 3 weeks post covid and actually feel really healthy. I took night nurse (liquid) it was the only way I could get a decent sleep, drank a ton of water and let myself rest.

Hope you feel better soon Flowers

I’m rarely ill and when I am I can shake it off in a day or so. I don’t take time off work and soldier on.

Every time I’ve had Covid it’s floored me though - sharp stomach pains, flu like symptoms and no energy. Just getting over it now. 2 weeks start to finish. It’s grim, but it will pass, although it certainly didn’t feel like that at the time!

Hope you’re feeling better soon.

i tested positive before the first vaccine came out, I lost my sense of taste and smell but that was it, if it wasn’t for that I would have never have known. I think I was one of the very lucky ones tho!

I got it over the summer. It took my four weeks, but no lasting problems now. It was bloody hideous at the time, and worse that the previous two times.

Three weeks for me and I still don't feel right, but my sleep has been all over the place which hasn't helped.

Less than a week, with 2 days feeling really awful, and the rest were more manageable. Get well soon OP, it’s a horrible strain!

I’m on day 8. Had one afternoon of feeling totally dreadful but was pretty much fully recovered by day six. Sense of smell still not totally back to normal but otherwise all good. Hope you feel better soon!

I was back at work after a week, mostly because I didn’t get sick pay. If I had, I’d have needed two weeks off. And I had residual symptoms for another 3 weeks (possibly because I didn’t let myself have time to recover).

I had it about 18 months ago with whichever variant was prevalent at the time.

I woke up with a stonking headache, took a test and it was positive. Over the next week, I had every low grade symptom - cough, stomach, runny nose (no fever or taste loss). I tested negative on day 10.

However, I had terrible fatigue for the next month. Then it suddenly disappeared.
