Costa has now fallen to the sugar tax.... sweetener warning!

Costa, the place where I can go and but hot chocolate, rocky roads and endless other sugar laden cakes and pastries, have now decided that all syrups will be sugar free.

As part of our ongoing commitment to reduce sugar and to meet our target to reduce at least 20% of sugar across our range, we now only stock sugar free or reduced sugar syrups. Our core syrups in-store are gingerbread sugar free, caramel sugar free, caramel 10% reduced sugar, hazelnut 10% reduced sugar and vanilla 10% reduced sugar.

If like me, you react to sweetener, please be aware next time you fancy a Gingerbread Latte that it now contains it.
Whatever happened to choice?

It boils my piss!
I have a Costa hazelnut latte maybe twice a year. But when I do, I want the real deal. Because I have self restraint and a normal BMI/healthy lifestyle for the other circa 363 days of the year.

Thank you for this, I am so sensitive to sweeteners and probably would not have thought to check them changing the syrups!

Gross! Like many others I have sugary treats occasionally, I do not want crappy tasting, cancer making artificial CRAP!

Thanks for the warning, what a shame, I will be avoiding them now. Only went there very occasionally but still..
