I have a date for my op before Christmas which was unexpected & I wonder whether it’s best to wait until the New Year? I’m just thinking about the pain, recovery time etc & the busiest couple of months of the year is almost here. We are short staffed at work as it is & I know they couldn’t refuse the time off but it would be hard for them to lose a colleague for however long.
I have a very low pain threshold & am not fit so think I’ll need quite a while to fully recover.

Hi, yes I had one about 10 years ago. Walked into operating theatre at 9, was back in the day ward by 11. Back home by 3. I was back at work in a week. Realise everyone's different but healed quickly and wasn't that painful. Just happy to be rid of the pain I had. Good Luck.
